Description

We The Curious is a cultural venue in the heart of historic Bristol, offering exciting and stimulating experiences based around science and the arts. U3A members are invited to enjoy a day out with a difference. On a journey through the biology, chemistry and psychology of our amazing brains we’ll examine how our senses help us understand the world. In two hands-on workshops we focus first on our perception of scents at a molecular level and then on the microscope techniques used in the diagnosis of brain tumours. A special show in the Studio on site reveals why we perhaps you shouldn’t always believe what we think!

No prior or specialist knowledge is required as the activities are designed to be suitable and enjoyable for all.

The day will include welcome refreshments, introductory talk, two workshops, a show and full admission to the venue with two floors of exhibits.

Car Parking: Millennium Square car park is a 24hr car park adjacent to We The Curious. Postcode for Sat Nav - BS1 5LL (Up to 8 hours £12.00). There is also a NCP carpark very close by.

For groups arriving by minibus there is some free parking onsite but this is limited and would need to be arranged in advance via National Office.

Train: Closest train station is Bristol Temple Meads
